The Skinny

So, my girlfriend talks in her sleep. Not just random statements here and there, either… I can ask her questions about what’s happening in her dream, and she’ll narrate the whole thing for me. Sometimes it starts with a question… “What about Al Pacino?” Other times it’s a description… “It’s orange, and it doesn’t smell good.”  And on and on.  Sometimes you can hear me trying really hard not to laugh

It occurred to me that some posts might seem like she’s just telling me about her dreams after she’s already woken up, and not actually talking in her sleep.  I grilled her thoroughly about this, and we basically figured out that sometimes she is reporting straight from her dream, and sometimes she sleeptalks about the previous dream while she’s travelling to the next one.  It’s really obvious when she’s awake.  Her voice sounds entirely different.
